Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. They also boost extra bonuses, such as crit chance and PvE damage.

Components

An upgrade could have a prefix or suffix that alters the name of the equipment to the upgrade (for instancefor example 'Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, which lets players to create stronger versions using less Upgrade crystals than they would need to reach the same level using standard methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defense attributes of a weapon, or armor.
